Dr. Marcus Lastimado, D.M.D.

Dr. Marcus Lastimado is a distinguished dentist, educator, and founder of the Institution of Dental Advancement, a nationally accredited AGD/PACE CE provider. He received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in 2007, and has since built an impressive career focused on advancing dental care and education.
Dr. Lastimado served in the United States Army during Operation Enduring Freedom, providing dental care to military service members in Iraq and gaining extensive training alongside specialists in Prosthodontics, Periodontics, and Endodontics. He also played a key role as Clinic Director for Project Vida, helping to establish a public health dental clinic in El Paso, Texas, serving thousands of underserved children and adults.
With a passion for continuing education, Dr. Lastimado has advanced his expertise in cosmetic dentistry, implantology, and 3D CAD/CAM technology. He completed his 1-year Implant Preceptorship at the University of Texas San Antonio, followed by Fellowship and Mastership in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). He has also trained extensively in full arch restoration surgery, regenerative implant dentistry, and advanced live surgical implant training.
Dr. Lastimado is a highly respected lecturer, having taught internationally in countries like Russia, China, Japan, Chile, Portugal, and the Dominican Republic. He has trained over 700 clinicians in implantology and currently serves as the AIC Implant Education Faculty Director and Implant Education Director for live patient courses in the U.S. and Mexico.
In addition to his practice, Dr. Lastimado holds a Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinction held by less than 2% of U.S. dentists, and continues to advance dental care through his leadership roles and commitment to educating dental professionals worldwide.
