Dr. Kim is a board-certified periodontist with dual dental degrees from Seoul National University and the University of Pennsylvania.
He holds a Ph.D. in Oral and Craniofacial Biomedicine from UNC-Chapel Hill and has an extensive research background in immunopathology and genetics related to periodontal disease.
He has published widely in top journals and held academic roles at UNC, including adjunct assistant professor.
Clinically, he practices in North Carolina and has over 20 years of experience in both Korean and the U.S.
