Dr. Thomas Yoon is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology with extensive training in periodontology, maxillofacial surgery, and hospital dentistry. As a dental educator, consultant, and speaker, he brings a unique combination of clinical expertise and advanced knowledge to his profession. Dr. Yoon regularly presents at national symposia, where he shares his insights on surgical procedures for general dentists and the latest advancements in implantology and regenerative surgery. His specialties include dental implants, minimally invasive sinus augmentation, and laser-assisted periodontal therapy, with a particular focus on computer-guided implant placement.
Dr. Yoon is committed to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, bridging the gaps between dental specialties to enhance understanding of best practices and new technologies. A graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, Dr. Yoon holds advanced degrees and certifications in Hospital Dentistry, Oral Biology, and Periodontology from the University of Florida and Washington University. His surgical training includes fellowships in maxillofacial surgery, as well as serving as the chief resident in the Department of Periodontology at the University of Florida.
Currently, Dr. Yoon serves as the Dean of the LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, where he continues to educate and inspire the next generation of dental professionals.
